It is always fun attending Vancouver Fashion Week because of the attention to detail that the fashion designers and event organizers pay to every show. The lighting, hair and makeup, music and of course, the outfits are meticulously catered and prepped for. It’s also fun to plan out what to wear to each show, and look at the street style that the other patrons bring to the front. Even better, I love to bring friends along who are also passionate about fashion and share the experience! This season features styles from designers’ Spring/Summer 2018 collections because Fashion Week always projects at least one season ahead of the current time. The most fascinating part for me was the interpretive dance sequence (pictured above) because it combined dramatic music with beautiful dance and a stunning flowing dress. My favourite collections so far have been the ones by Marilyn Yeo and Reclamation.

The perfect pairing to each of my outfits was wearing this striking all black Daniel Wellington watch from the new Classic Petite Ashfield collection they just launched. Use code STYLEASCENSION for 15% off Daniel Wellington watches! They now have free shipping from their Canadian website which is pretty awesome.
