Today I am sharing an amazing hot yoga experience at Oxygen Yoga Yaletown. I went with a lovely friend to try it out for two weeks, and we enjoyed the workouts a lot!
You start off in a calming room surrounded by mirrors and heated by infrared light. The facility is clean and bright, with calming scents in the air. They have cute change-rooms that include showers and lockers.
Also, there are towel and mat rentals but I have my own mat so I prefer to bring that. In addition, you will be provided with blocks, weights, exercise balls and other equipment depending on the specific workout you choose. Be prepared to sweat a lot!
There are different types of hot yoga classes you can take; calming sessions and intense cardio workouts as well. I liked to take the fast-paced ones in the morning because it really wakes you up, while the Candlelight Yoga stretch is wonderfully relaxing for the end of the day. The music accompanies the workouts well, and the instructors all do their best to keep you motivated. Everyone there was super friendly and nice!
After the first few classes I got the hang of it, and by the fifth or sixth session I really enjoyed going. Will definitely try hot yoga again!
