This is the second part to a summer series with Rosegal the online clothing boutique. Previously we looked at some chic swimwear options, and for this concluding segment we’ll be discussing different events you may need to attend and some fashion inspiration, specifically regarding dresses, if you don’t know what to wear. As I mentioned in the prior post, Rosegal is a fantastic shop to support because they are inclusive of all women’s body types. No matter what size you happen to be, you will be able to find beautiful clothing pieces.
One event that many of us often attend in the summer are weddings. Yes, as the days grow longer and temperatures rise, wedding season strikes again. Attending a wedding often comes the debate of what to wear. The bride and groom may have detailed a dress code in the invitation, or if that’s not the case I would say it’s always better to be overdressed than under dressed to such an occasion.
This vibrant red dress has delicate lace sleeves, as well as an off the shoulder neckline that is sultry and elegant. You can view more on Rosegal’s wedding guest page. These dress options can be transitioned from daytime sundresses to nighttime ensembles by layering a shawl or light coat on top.
Fit and flare style dresses are one of my favourites because it enhances curves along your waist and giving the impression of an hourglass shape. This dress is particular has beautiful floral embroidery details alongside sheer fabric near the top. It is a cute and feminine outfit.
This time of year also marks prom season, so if you’re a graduating senior wanting a dress that no one else has, going online may be your best bet since it will be less likely that someone else will pick out the exact same gown as you. Prom is a fun time to be glamorous; for example, this blush tulle dress has floor length drama, a flowing skirt and detailed applique to make you look like a princess. You can see more details for prom dress options.
Finally, another social function you may have to attend in the summer time are outdoor parties, such as dinners on rooftop patios. This is slightly trickier because you have to factor in the temperature fluctuations throughout the night. Bring an extra layer that you can easily slide on just in case it becomes colder. In terms of what to wear as a base piece, you really can’t go wrong with a simple LBD such as the one pictured, but you can click more for other party dress alternatives. Have fun shopping!
